After installation and commissioning, the FAT was successfully completed and the rail stamping machine was handed over to the customer!

The STEMA®-JU15 stamps the rails at a temperature of 780 °C to 950 °C.

Up to 30 rails with a length of up to 160 m are stamped per hour and the maximum rail speed is 6 m/s.

Now 2 STEMA®-JU15 are installed in WUHAN Steel to the complete satisfaction of our customer.

We would like to thank the WISCO team for the collegial cooperation!

Successful commissioning of the STEMA®-JU 15 rail stamping machine:

Despite Corona, the JU 15 rail stamping machine was successfully installed and commissioned at Wuhan Iron and Steel Company Ltd. in Wuhan (China) in December 2020.

The preparation was very difficult and almost inhuman due to the pandemic. Nevertheless we have also successfully put the 2nd STEMA® into operation at WISCO.

The rail stamping machine is equipped with the latest technology, so that the stamp pressure is regulated and controlled via the rail temperature.

We would like to thank our customer for the successful and future-oriented cooperation.

The commissioning of our character recognition software ReaSy® at BONATRANS in the Czech Republic was successfully completed.

At the BONATRANS production plant, the character recognition software ReaSy® is used for automated verification of the stamping of railroad wheels. With the help of ReaSy it is possible to automate this quality assurance process.

ReaSy reads the characters on the up to 1.180 °C hot railroad wheels directly after stamping. The complete recognition and image processing is done in less than 0.5 seconds, which further reduces the cycle time of the production and reduces labor costs.

The STEMA® JU 33 rail stamping machine for our Japanese customer NIPPON Steel was tested for over a week after completion, during which all functions and work processes were simulated. All tests in the area of CFT and CRT were 100% successful!

The STEMA JU33 was released after successful completion of the test and sent to our customer in Japan!

We look forward to the installation and commissioning with our customer in KITAKYUSHU CITY, FUKUOKA PREFECTURE, JAPAN.

See you in Japan!

After just 8 months of construction (from the signing of the contract to the cold test), the new STEMA® JU15 rail stamping machine for our Chinese customer WISCO in Wuhan was completed, tested and delivered on February 18th, 2020.

In 2012 we installed the first STEMA® at WISCO. With this second machine we finally and successfully have the old, partly non-functioning machines replaced by our high-tech product!

We look forward to commissioning with our customer in Wuhan, China.

Goodbye in Wuhan!

November 25, 2019 the successful commissioning of the new rail stamping machine STEMA JU 11 in British Steel was finished.

The commissioning of the stamping machine for railroad wheels at the Czech production plant BONATRANS was successfully completed. We would like to thank our customer and partner ZDAS as well as BONATRANS for the good cooperation, which enabled us to deliver and commission the machine faster than planned. All in all, the machine could be put into operation two months earlier.

The machine stamps hot railroad wheels at up to 1,100 degrees Celsius. It is equipped with three fast travel axes and a robust WheSt-14 stamping head that can hold up to 14 different characters. It was particularly important to achieve the fastest possible stamping in order to shorten the cycle time in production. This was achieved by our special hydraulic stamping head, which makes it possible to control all stamping symbols almost simultaneously and to complete the entire stamping process within a very short time. The stamping machine runs continuously in several shifts without significant downtimes and thus enables the production of railroad wheels to be increased further.

More Information

We were able to carry out another cold run test (CRT) of a stamping machine of the type WHEST®-14. For this, our customers ZDAS and the end customer BONATRANS visited us. The cold test went perfectly and the machine has already been shipped.

The wheel stamping machine WHEST®-14 is supposed to mark hot wheels at the BONATRANS GROUP plant in the Czech Republic. For this purpose, the stamping machine is arranged in the production line after the press. It is capable of stamping hot wheels up to 1000 ° C within a very short time with a 20-character marking sequence. In addition, the WHEST®-14 is equipped with our reading system ReaSy, which is the most reliable character recognition for stamp marks.

More Information

At the beginning of June, we welcomed the JFE team from Japan to the CRT and functional test of the stamping machine STEMA® JU 33.

As expected, the CRT ran perfectly, which meant that the delivery could take place as planned.

The stamping machine is now on its way to Japan and we look forward to the installation and commissioning in September at JFE in Japan.

We are very pleased to have won the Japanese steel producer Nippon Steel Yawata Works as a new customer. After our successful cooperation with JFE Steel Corporation from Japan, we can further expand our activities in Japan. We also thank our representative, Mr. Takahiko Amanuma, for their excellent on-site support.

In order to enable standardized stamping for domestic as well as foreign products, we will again supply a STEMA® JU33, as already for JFE. A system for switching between domestic and foreign symbols is also included. As usual in Japan, high quality and reliability requirements are placed on us, and we are proud to be able to meet these high requirements.

On 07.05.2019 the contract with Nippon Steel Yawata Works was signed and already in the summer of 2020 the second rail stamping machine will be put into operation in Japan, more precisely in Kitkyushu City. We are pleased about this order and thank you for the trust.
